Description
The South Valley of the city of Cusco is full of ancient and mysterious Inca and pre-Inca constructions. Although not as famous as the Sacred Valley of the Incas; But for its archaeological value it is worth visiting. The Tipon aqueducts will remain in your memory and will haunt your memories of Peru. A very important place during the time of the Incas. This site is dedicated to the element of water, which is the key ingredient of life. The Tipón springs fertilized the rich soil of the terraces so that the Inca royalty and the Andean people could feed themselves well. To this day, Tipon feels like a sacred place, and everyone who visits is amazed by the beauty and tranquility of the site.
You will also be surprised by the pre-architecture, Inca Wari in Pikillacta, as well as beautiful chapels such as Andahuaylillas, better known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”. On your tour you will be able to taste the rich cuisine of Saylla.

In the morning, we will begin our tour to the South Valley of the city of Cusco. On this tour of Tipón, Piquillaqta and Andahuaylillas you will see some of the most beautiful places in the Cusco area. You will visit iconic places that are somewhat off the beaten path and discover the pre-Inca, Inca and colonial legacy.
We will begin by visiting the traditional San Pedro market in Cusco. Here you will see local people buying, selling and enjoying locally grown agricultural products. (The visit to the San Pedro Market is only available in private service; regular tours do not visit this old traditional market in the center of Cusco.)
Next, we will head south of the city of Cusco to see one of the great wonders of Inca hydraulic engineering, Tipón. Tipón's amazing construction is admired by engineers, architects and visitors from all over the world. The surrounding countryside is also very picturesque.
After Tipón; We will continue with our exploration trip and our next stop will be Piquillaqta, this site was once a seat of worship and administrative center of the great pre-Inca Wari culture. The Wari Empire prospered from the 6th century to the 9th century, A.D. Piquillaqta is a good example of its planned urban engineering.
Finally we will visit the Church of San Pedro Apóstol, located in Andahuaylillas. This colonial-era church will surprise you with its murals that cover the walls and ceiling. The artwork is so fine that the church is called "the Sistine Chapel of the Americas." After our trip to the fascinating South Valley we will return to Cusco. The entire trip takes about 5 and a half hours.
